Terms & Conditions

Please review the following terms carefully before commissioning work.

1. Overview

These Terms & Conditions govern all drone photography and videography services provided by River Medway Aerials. By booking our services, the client agrees to the terms outlined below.

2. Flight Limitations

All drone operations comply with UK CAA regulations.

  • Maximum altitude of 400 ft (120 m)
  • Visual line of sight (VLOS) maintained at all times
  • No flights directly over uninvolved people or congested areas unless permitted
  • Indoor flights only where safe and with permission
  • Adjustments to flight paths may be required for safety or legal compliance

3. Airspace Restrictions

Certain areas require special permissions or may be restricted:

  • Airports and aerodromes
  • Flight Restriction Zones (FRZs)
  • Prisons, military sites, critical infrastructure
  • Temporary restrictions (events, emergencies, VIP movements)

If permissions cannot be obtained, the flight will not proceed.

4. Weather Contingencies

Drone flights may be postponed or cancelled due to:

  • High winds
  • Rain or snow
  • Fog or low visibility
  • Extreme temperatures
  • Unsafe ground conditions

Rescheduling will be offered at no extra cost. Deposits remain valid. Refunds may be offered at our discretion if rescheduling is not possible.

5. Risk Disclaimer

While we operate safely and professionally:

  • Drone flights carry inherent risks
  • We are not liable for delays caused by weather, airspace restrictions, or safety concerns
  • We are not responsible for loss of earnings or missed deadlines resulting from operational limitations
  • Clients must ensure filming locations are safe and accessible

We maintain appropriate insurance, but clients must secure permissions for filming on private property.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Obtain permission from property owners or site managers
  • Ensure the area is safe for drone operations
  • Inform us of hazards (power lines, animals, obstructions)
  • Ensure people on-site are aware of drone activity

If conditions prevent safe operation, we may cancel or modify the shoot.

7. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations more than 48 hours before the booking may be refunded at our discretion
  • Cancellations within 48 hours may forfeit the deposit
  • Weather-related cancellations will be rescheduled

8. Deliverables

We provide edited footage or images as agreed. Raw footage may be supplied upon request and may incur additional fees. Delivery timelines vary based on project complexity.

9. Liability

We hold full public liability insurance. However:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by permissions, weather, or airspace restrictions
  • We may refuse any flight deemed unsafe or unlawful

10. Acceptance of Terms

By commissioning our services, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

All prices are GBP and subject to availability, weather, and site safety conditions.
